Owner and lead designer, Kelsey, has had dirt on her hands and floral sheers in them for as long as she can remember. Her passion for flowers officially took root in 2011 while studying at The Blossom Shop Floral Academy in a small town downstate Michigan. Since then, she has spent well over a decade immersed in the creative world of floral design — from gardening private estates and building terrariums to styling spaces and producing hundreds of weddings across Northern Michigan.

Clients quickly fall in love with Kelsey’s spunky personality, creative eye, and ability to make the design process feel both exciting and effortless. She believes wedding planning should feel inspiring — not intimidating — and brings a balance of professionalism, hard work, humor, and genuine connection to every event she takes on. Equal parts perfectionist and free spirit, Kelsey is known for dreaming big, working tirelessly behind the scenes, and still keeping the process fun along the way.

Today, Kelsey and her small team at Carriage House Floral Design specialize exclusively in wedding floristry, creating designs that feel refined, intentional, and entirely immersive. Known for artful movement, romantic textures, and atmosphere-driven styling, CHFD approaches every celebration with the belief that florals should feel like more than décor — they should become part of the experience itself.

When she’s not designing weddings, Kelsey is building a flower farm alongside her lively homestead filled with children, animals, muddy boots, and plenty of beautiful chaos — a season of life that continually inspires the garden-inspired feel behind her work. From intimate waterfront elopements to elaborate estate celebrations, CHFD is passionate about creating floral moments that feel deeply personal, beautifully curated, and unforgettable.
